Electrical Supervisor

(3:1 FIFO Roster ex Perth)

(Excellent Remuneration)

(6 month contract)

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our Solomon construction team. Reporting to the site Electrical Superintendent this position is key to ensuring the successful delivery of the project for commissioning and hand over to our internal clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor contractors and consultants while ensuring project objectives are being met
Advise the contractor/consultant of any corrective actions needed as required when inspecting the work daily
Review proposed and actual changes to project implementation and contractor/consultant schedules and report any concerns
Weekly reporting
Ensure that all functions are performed safely
Essential requirements for this position are:
Extensive experience in Iron Ore Mineral processing plant, conveyors, wet plant, crushing and screening
Previous experience at a Supervisory level within the Construction/Mining industries

6 months fixed term or hourly rate

The SMP Supervisor OPFs (ore processing facility typically comprising belt conveyors, scrubbers, crushers, thickeners, pumps, screens, feeders and similar equipment used in the beneficiation of iron ore) is part of the FMG Management team on our Solomon Expansion Project. Reporting to the SMP Superintendent this role is responsible for the supervision of major contractors and subcontractor groups to ensure that design, technical and quality standards are achieved safely and according to time and budget.

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

Minimum 10 years of demonstrated construction background on large scale projects, preferably within the construction and mining industry
Minimum of 5 years proven experience of working on SMP works in mine sites
Control and supervision of site and contractor personnel
Proven experience in project planning and resource management
Trade qualification
Good communication skills are a necessity for this position
Committed and proactive attitude towards safety
Key responsibilities:
Be a part of the Owner's team and oversee the construction of the mining facilities
You will be responsible for safe implementation, control and supervision of designated project works.
Be a key team player and maintain effective communications with site teams
Responsible for Interface with Quality Assurance, HSEQ and site project teams
Interface with major contractors, co-ordinate and oversee work carried out on site
Develop and review the documentation necessary to facilitate work carried out on site

Reporting to the Company Secretary in the Perth Corporate office, this role will see you implementing and managing policies, processes and initiatives of the Remuneration & Benefits function within Fortescue Metals Group.

Key duties and responsibilities of this role will include:

Aligning Remuneration & Benefits initiatives with business strategy in accordance with budget constraints, future staffing requirements, industry needs and succession plans
Managing the delivery of recommendations covering specific areas such as salary planning (annual remuneration review), market analysis, job design, short and long-term incentive plans, benefit planning & vendor relationship management
Stakeholder engagement and development to analyse and respond to Remuneration & Benefits requirements
Management of Corporate Superannuation Plan and all share plans, including ATO reporting requirements
Preparation of Board papers and annual Remuneration report
Delivering operational support and guidance to line managers on Remuneration & Benefits issues

Extensive experience in Remunerations and Benefits management is essential for this role along with relevant tertiary HR qualifications or significant relevant industry experience. Your advanced communication skills, strong understanding of legal and regulatory influences on remuneration policy and solid leadership traits will stand you in good stead for this position.
